Beny Sofer, the principal
of Beny Sofer Inc., was elected by a unanimous vote to the Diamond Dealers Club
board of directors, the club announced.

DDC president Moshe
Mosbacher said Sofer’s “honesty, integrity, and the high regard in which he is
held in the diamond business, as well his experience with diamond and jewelry
buying groups,” would be “outstanding assets” for the DDC board and members.

Sofer has served on the
DDC’s business development, nominating, and gemological committees.
