David Yurman CEO Stepping Down

Glen Senk, who served as CEO of David Yurman for two years, has resigned from that position, to be replaced by founder Yurman, the company confirmed.

Senk, who formerly headed Urban Outfitters, joined the company in January 2011.

There was no word on Senk’s next destination. While the press statement said Senk was looking to “pursue other interests,” Women’s Wear Daily, which broke the story, speculated Senk was headed to American Eagle Outfitters.

Senk had recruited a management team with strong retail and luxury pedigrees, like Anthropologie and LVMH, fueling anticipation that the privately held company was about to launch an IPO. (That speculation resurfaced in a recent Reuters article.)

“Sybil and I brought Glen in two years ago to help us build a world-class management team, and he has done an outstanding job,” Yurman said in a statement. “Part of our success has always been a direct result of our family’s involvement in the management and creative direction of the company, and I look forward to working closely with our exceptional team to help David Yurman, Inc., grow even further.”
