Dalumi Diamonds has received a license to open a diamond polishing factory in Botswana. The facility is scheduled to open in January, 2007. The Israeli-based diamond manufacturer will be in one of the first companies to open such a facility in the country.
“We are more than pleased to have been selected to manufacture diamonds in this country,” said Yuval Kemp, Director of Marketing & Business Development at Dalumi. “[We] will help to develop and boost Botswana’s role as well as Dalumi’s competitive advantage in the industry.”
The 14,000 square-foot facility will be located in Gaborone, Botswana’s capital city, and will employ about 200 workers.
