Dalumi was named the best exporter of diamonds to Japan in 2005 by The Israel-Japan Friendship Society.
During a presentation held March 16 in Tel Aviv, Japanese ambassador to Israel, H.E Jun Yokota, complimented Asher Dalumi, Dalumi president, for the essential and important role Dalumi has played within the diamond market in Japan.
As the Japanese market has become a more significant player in the global diamond market, Dalumi has increased its export efforts to the country.
“Japan is viewed as one of the key markets for us,” said Yuval Kemp, Dalumi director of marketing and business development. “There are plenty of opportunities to develop and this is the main reason why we decided to increase our investment in Japan in 2005.”
Dalumi is focusing its activity on the Japanese market through two different projects: the launch of jewels collections created in partnership with various major Japanese companies and the supply of rough diamonds which represents the most important element of the Dalumi business.
The company also is involved in the DTC flagship plans such as the Trilogy Program with Tsutsumi for the third year and the Diamond Wave with Tokyo Pearl. And, the Israeli-based company has conducted a survey aimed at understanding the Japanese attitude towards yellow shade diamonds.
