Couple engaged at a David Yurman boutique

There are many ways that men propose to their brides-to-be: Over dinner, at family events, at sporting events, even on reality TV. But one California man decided to tie the knot at a David Yurman store in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Roman made prior arrangements with the boutique and brought MacPherson a few days earlier to try on rings so he would know just what she wanted. He returned to the store by himself and purchased two platinum pave diamond eternity bands from the David Yurman Bridal Collection.

The store prepped prior to their arrival with chilled champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and displayed the rings on a tray with fresh cut orchids. A camera was hidden under the store manager’s jacket and when they arrived at 7:15 p.m., their salesperson Emily Chonay, brought out the ring tray. Roman dropped to one knee and proposed. MacPherson responded with a “yes.” Then they enjoyed their first dinner as an engaged couple at a nearby restaurant.
