Coral Conference in New York



Coral: Symbol, Substance, and Significance will be held in New York on October 30th and 31st at the Graduate Center, CUNY, Fifth Avenue at 34th Street.

A reception the evening of October 29th at Lilly Pulitzer’s flagship for the unveiling of its coral-themed 2009 resort collection will kick of the event.

Featured speakers include: Michele Oka Doner, Marilyn F. Cooperman, Sarah Graham, Amedeo Scognamiglio, Robert Taylor, Cheryl Kremkow, Géza von Habsburg, Susan Torntore, Janie Schoenborn, Lilly Pulitzer and David Wolfe.

Among authorities speaking about the science, varieties and trade of coral are Richard E. Dodge, Kacky Andrews, Dawn Martin, Christine Dawson, Barbara Best and Ilze K. Berzins.

The conference is supported by Tiffany & Co., The Henry Foundation, NOAA Coral Conservation Program, The Louis and Lina Minkoff Foundation, The Magazine ANTIQUES and the Exeter Group.
