Convicted murderer pleads guilty to robbery

A 23-year-old man already convicted of murdering a Long Island jeweler has now pleaded guilty to robbing a Nanuet, New York, jewelry store, the Associated Press reports.

Christopher DiMeo is also facing murder charges in Connecticut.

Wednesday he admitted robbing $103,000 in jewels and stones Jan. 26 from the Rockland Jewelry Center on Route 59 in Nanuet, the AP reports.

He’s expected to face 25 years in state prison for first-degree robbery when County Judge William Kelly sentences him Aug. 25, the AP reports.

The Rockland sentence will run concurrent to his sentence of life in prison without parole from the Long Island murder, the AP reports.

DiMeo also faces murder charges in Connecticut in the Feb. 2 killing of a husband and wife who were jewelry store owners in Fairfield.

Kimberly Ann and Timothy Donnelly, both 58, were shot dead inside their store, Donnelly Jewelry.
