The Chicago Jewelers Association (CJA) is launching a Crime Alert Network for the greater Chicago area and a shipping discount.
CJA’s Crime Alert Network, made possible by grants from its sponsors, Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company and the Jewelers’ Security Alliance (JSA), will share information about crime, suspicious incidents, and missing merchandise via e-mail and fax messages to CJA members and Chicago area law enforcement.
John Kennedy, JSA president, said that the Chicago network joins JSA’s nationwide network to report, track, and reduce crime against jewelers.
Larry Hyman, CJA president, also announced a significant discount for CJA members who ship using USPS and Endicia.com.
The shipping discount provides CJA members with the USPS Commercial Plus discounts of 14.5% for Express Mail and 7% for Priority Mail without the USPS volume requirement. Packages must be shipped using Endicia.com to create the label and pay shipping costs.
