Christie’s London Director Addressing GIA Gathering

David Warren, senior director of Christie’s of London, will present a lecture
at the GIA Gemstone Gathering on Jan. 19 in Bangkok.

The lecture, “The Peculiar Life of an Auctioneer,” will provide insight into
how Christie’s operates and include Warren’s personal stories from the more
than 30 years he has spent handling some of the world’s finest gemstones.

In 2007, Warren began Christie’s jewelry and watch auctions in Dubai and helped
develop jewelry activities across the Middle East. “The Royal House,” an
auction in 2006, totaled in $36 million and was 100 percent sold — the highest
total for any single owner jewelry collection ever sold by Christie’s.
