Moissanite developer Charles & Colvard Ltd. announced this week that it’s hired John Lane as its new vice president of marketing.
Lane has been working as a consultant for the brand for some time. He’s already built and executed “a successful brand roadmap for the company,” according to a prepared statement.
The executive brings to the company more than 18 years of experience in developing and cultivating brand strategies. His past roles include chief strategy officer at Centerline Digital—an agency that specializes in strategic content and experiences through curated digital initiatives—where Lane helmed the creation of digital marketing strategies. Prior to that position, Lane was vice president in charge of strategy and creative at Centerline Digital.
“Charles & Colvard is an incredible brand that’s pushing the envelope in the fine jewelry industry,” he said in the statement. “The company is proving that luxury can be beautiful and conscientious, and I’m excited to find new ways to share this story. There is tremendous potential for this brand to evolve and become more widely admired and followed for its innovative technology, sustainable practices, and incredible products.”
Charles & Colvard is based in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina and has been creating moissanite for over 20 years.
The company offers moissanite produced from silicon carbide crystals in three color grades: colorless, near-colorless, and faint color.
It sells wholesale to the retail industry, but also retails directly to the public on charlesandcolvard.com.
