Charity Watch: Rahaminov Diamonds Raises Over $60,000 for JFC

With its recent participation in Solvang, Calif.’s Metric Century bike ride, Rahaminov Diamonds announced that it has raised over $60,000 in support of Jewelers for Children (JFC), exceeding its initial goal of $36,000.

Comprised of a team of 14 members, each biker crossed the finish line of the 100-kilometer, or 62-mile ride, wearing uniforms sponsored by Forevermark Diamonds. “We’re extremely happy to present Jewelers for Children with the money we’ve raised,” said Rahaminov CEO Amir Goldfiner in a press release. “We know that these funds will touch the lives of many children. We all trained extremely hard for this ride and I am very proud of what we have accomplished together!”

In other philanthropic news from the industry, Rogers & Hollands announced that it would donate a portion of all October sales to the Kadet Cancer Research Foundation. Named for company matriarch Juell Kadet, a 30-year breast cancer survivor, the effort has donated nearly $1 million to date to cancer-related clinical trials at Ingalls Hospital in Chicago.

In addition, the company has unveiled two new jewelry collections in support of breast cancer awareness: the Promise of Hope collection and the Survivor collection. Both of these collections, as well as all pink gemstone and rose gold jewelry, are being sold with a 30 percent discount throughout October.
