The
American Gem Society has named that Cathy Calhoun new president of the
Society’s Board of Directors.

Calhoun, who owns and operates Calhoun
Jewelers in Royersford,
Pennsylvania, will hold the title
of board president until 2012 when her term ends at the annual Conclave.

She assumes the role from the previous president, Mark Moeller, CGA, of R.F.
Moeller Jeweler in Minneapolis,
Minn.

Additionally, the AGS has released the list of its 2010-2011 Board of
Directors, which is as follows: president-elect: David Gardner, CG; secretary:
Louis Smith, CGl; senior advisor: John Nash, CGA; and treasurer: Kelly Kinas.

Dave Bonaparte, group vice president of JCK
Events, was named director at large, along with Scott Berg, Phyllis
Bergman, Bev Hori, Kelly Newton, and Charles Rosario.
