Campbell’s Former Agent Reiterates Testimony

The Associated Press is reporting that Naomi Campbell’s former agent Carole
White has denied that she made up testimony about Campbell at the trial of
former Liberian President Charles Taylor. Taylor is on trial for war crimes,
accused of dealing in conflict diamonds during the rebellion in Sierra Leone.

White had testified that Campbell admitted in 1997 that she received diamonds
from Taylor and said she was present when Campbell made the admission. But
Taylor’s lawyer said White was lying in order to help her lawsuit against
Campbell. In court today, the AP said, White insisted that her testimony was
factual.
