Britt’s Pick: K. Mita’s Shoreline Fringe Earrings

I have found the pair of late summer earrings. From K. Mita Design, this lovely set from the Shoreline collection is exactly the style that begs to be worn on those September days spent at the beach. The two layers of fringe contrast wonderfully in yellow gold and oxidized sterling silver.

What really sets them apart from other fringed pairs is my favorite element. At the top of these earrings is a yellow gold bar from which the rows of fringed chain descend; it’s swirling with a texture you’d find at the shoreline (so its collection name is, obviously, perfect). It’s that mesmerizing etching in the sand that can only be accomplished with the kiss of the ocean, when the tide rolls in and leaves the shore covered in silky, sculptured lines. A bezel-set diamond at the top of each earring adds a hint of sophistication, which is just right for the back-to-business days of early fall, while still incorporating some of that summer fun wherever you go (and whatever time of year).
