Britt’s Pick: Doryn Wallach’s Turquoise Cocktail Ring

Summer’s not over just yet. And with that, the stone of summer—always turquoise, or so I believe—remains the star of the show. This season, I’ve been especially attuned to tiny turquoise stud earrings (a really cute addition to those sunny ear parties), and would have counted those as my favorite instances of the stone this year—until I saw this. From the always-fantastic Doryn Wallach, this ring is the highlight of my summer turquoise hunt. The sister to another cocktail ring—coincidentally featured as a Britt’s Pick almost one year ago—this one is just as elegant, but also vivaciously colorful, with its sleeping beauty turquoise centerpiece contrasting with black diamonds along its Art Deco–influenced edges. It sings summer, sure, but with its sizable presence and glittering details, it’d be just as apt adorning the hand of a holiday partygoer, one who’s clutching a glass of champagne and ringing in the New Year (I can’t believe I’m thinking about that time of year already, but here we are). Looks like Wallach has done it again: a beautiful piece dripping in glamour, and as versatile as ever.

Ring in 18k yellow gold with sleeping beauty turquoise, 0.68 ct. t.w. black diamonds, and 0.23 ct. baguette diamond, $9,900
