Britt’s Pick: Alishan’s Two-Tone Flower Pendant

Now that we’re definitely in the spring of things—some would even argue summer, given our recent steamy weather—flowers are not just a vision from memory we only yearn for. Still, even with an abundance of blooms, floral jewelry is a welcome sight, particularly Alishan‘s artisan pendant. A simple concept, the design is not so simple at all: The textured petals of a yellow gold flower surround a rose gold, bezel-set pink sapphire center, and the figure pops against an oxidized background. My favorite detail of the circular pendant, though, is the trio of diamonds. They’re like tiny islands that lead to the mainland—as if you’re peering down at a flower-shape body from space. The design is feminine without being frilly; it’s tropical, but not markedly so. I’d wear it with anything and everything this summer, making it an exemplary choice for your new season’s selection.

Pendant in oxidized sterling silver and 18k yellow and rose gold with 0.15 ct. pink sapphire and 0.02 ct. t.w. diamonds, price on request
