Bradley J. Stinn to be honored by ORT jewelry chapter

The Jewelry Industry Chapter of American ORT will present the 2002 ORT Community Achievement Award to Bradley J. Stinn, CEO of Friedman’s Inc., in recognition of his many professional contributions to the industry, the organization said in a statement.

The awards presentation will be held Thursday Oct. 3 at the Grand Hyatt New York. The awards reception will begin at 6pm with dinner at 7pm.

Under his direction, Friedman’s has grown to approximately 635 jewelry stores with revenues of approximately $425 million.

ORT creates life-altering opportunities in more than 50 countries, empowering people through education and vocational development. In the United States, ORT maintains three colleges – in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and educates 5,000 students annually.

Michael Kaplan of Rocket Jewelry Box, Inc. is the chapter president. Phyllis Bergman of Mercury Ring Corporation is the chairman.

The cost is $395 per person ($300 per seat is tax deductible.) Tables of ten are $3,950 ($3,000 is tax deductible.).
