Boynton Beach, Fla., Jewelry Store Burglarized

An overnight burglary took place this week at Jan’s Jewelers in Boynton Beach, Fla., resulting in the loss of $3,000 worth of silver, according to an article in the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

According to the report, someone walking by the store around 6:30 a.m. saw the broken glass door and some jewelry left on the sidewalk and called police. By late morning, jewelry store owner Marc Bonfiglio had replaced the smashed door and was preparing to reopen. He claims that the thieves used rocks to smash the door but the alarm didn’t go off.
