Department store Boscovs has succsesfully emerged from Chapter 11, in what the bankruptcy judge called a "remarkable case," according to a New York Times report.
The company filed for Chapter 11 last year and closed 10 of its 49 stores.
It had looked like it was heading for liquidation, but last year the company was sold to the family of the son-in-law and son of its founder.
The Northeast chain has resolved all claims from creditors, the Times said.
