BASELWORLD 2006 upgrades area for jewelry vendors

The organizers of BASELWORLD 2006 said it renovated one of its halls in order to allow exhibitors to build larger spaces for their jewelry and watches.

The annual watch and jewelry show has upgraded its Hall of Visions (Hall 2.2) to allow multi-storey exhibition stands to be erected in the “First Avenue” area, which serves as an for jewelry vendors.

“In response to requests from exhibitors for a total revamp of the Hall, the Show management has created this exclusive environment for the launch of new jewelry collections, in order to reflect the premium status of the exhibiting brands,” show organizers, MCH Swiss Exhibition, said in a statement.

The statement also says that “all the eminent watch brands will be present in Basel once again.”

BASELWORLD 2006 will be held March 30 to April 6, 2006 at the Exhibition Center Basel. Organizers said they expect more than 2,100 exhibitor companies and some 90,000 visitors to attend the show.
