The upcoming Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair will include a new Design Pavilion dedicated to talented Thai and international jewelry designers. The trade fair will be held Sept. 11 to 15 at the Challenger exhibition center.

The Design Pavilion is a place for buyers to see the latest collections of fine, trendy, and prized jewelry. These jewelry pieces were previously shown in traditional sections of the trade faire, such as TGJ Elite Creations and Hot New Design as well as a special exhibition by the Thai Silver Exporter Club. Two examples of the type of jewelry available at the Design Pavilion are pictured.

“The introduction of Design Pavilion amplifies our objective to turn BGJF as a stage to witness creativity and new ideas of talented designers in order to create more value to visitors and exhibitors to the fair,” said BGJF chief executive Somchai Phornchindarak.

The Design Pavilion will be located in the main foyer in front of the registration desk for the 42nd edition of the international trade fair.

There will be two sections at the Design Pavilion. The International Thai Jewelry Awards, which will showcase the work of 15 Thai designers and their who won international competitions.

The other part is devoted to an international presentation entitled Gem Visions 2009 by Enlightened– Swarovski Elements, a product brand for precision-cut genuine gemstones and created stones.
