Alexis Bittar Jewelry to “Perform” at Coachella

Okay, fine, while the Brooklyn-based jewelry brand, best known for its luminous Lucite cuff bracelets, will not be joining headliners on the Coachella Music Festival’s main stage, it will be rolling into Palm Springs, Calif., in a gleaming gold-plated bus, joined by a jewelry-loving entourage dressed in their best boho chic.

During both Coachella weekends, the “Bittar Bus” will be parked on the grounds of Saguaro Palm Springs, where, through a special a collaboration with the hotel, the jewelry brand will offer a capsule collection curated with festival attendees in mind.

The classic Volkswagen conversion vehicle will serve as a sort of jewelry boutique on wheels, with bracelets, necklaces, and earrings on hand to provide the finishing touch to any Coachella weekend outfit, whether the day’s events have you enjoying the hotel’s vibrant pool scene or taking in sets by headliners Beyoncé and Eminem.

“The Saguaro is the perfect backdrop for Alexis Bittar to present this special music festival capsule collection,” said hotel general manager Matt Shough in a statement. “We’ve built an international reputation for creating uncomplicated fun during this time of year and these designs fit perfectly into our vibe.”

While this is the first time Alexis Bittar has promoted an exclusive festival assortment, the Bittar Bus previously traveled to Miami for Art Basel 2017. Coachella marks the bus’s first visit to Palm Springs and the brand hopes to bring its one-of-a-kind mobile pop-up to high-traffic locations in other cities, especially ones where it does not currently have a retail presence.

The Bittar Bus will operate from 11 a.m. to sundown on April 13–15 and again from April 20–22.
