Alain Delamuraz (pictured) is leaving his position as vice president, head of marketing, at Swatch-owned watch brand Blancpain, said president and CEO Mark Hayek in a statement.

Delamuraz will “devote himself to other projects,” the statement said. At press time, a replacement has not been named.

Delamuraz spend 22 years at the Swatch Group, which included two years at Omega and 20 at Blancpain. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in the hotel industry.

In a letter, Delamuraz wrote: “This long journey has energized me and equipped me today to turn to other challenges steering myself toward new horizons.

My core values and commitment to authenticity are deeply rooted in the exceptional world of Blancpain.”

Hayek said, “On behalf of the Swatch Group, on behalf of Blancpain, and on a personal level, I want to thank him for all of his efforts and achievements as well as his passion and loyalty throughout all of this time to Blancpain, the Group and our family. I want to wish him the very best for his future career and his family and hope that our paths will cross again someday and that we may have the opportunity to collaborate together.”
