AJDC accepting applications for design competition

The American Jewelry Design Council (AJDC) is now accepting applications for the 2003 edition of its talent contest. An annual event, the competition awards the winner with a booth in the New Designer Gallery during the summer JA New York show.

Applicants must meet three requirements: They must be a designer or owner of a jewelry manufacturing business, manufacture in the United States, and never have exhibited at a JA New York show. Design criteria includes originality, craftsmanship, innovation, marketability, and cohesiveness.

In addition to the booth, the winner will also receive high-profile media attention and professional support from AJDC members.

To receive an application, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Alan Revere-AJDC Talent Contest Chairman, 760 Market St., Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94102. The application deadline is Jan. 15, 2003.
