The American Gem Trade Association AGTA Gemological Testing Center added three gemologists, Dr. Lore Kiefert, Richard W. Hughes, and John I. Koivula, to its staff. The lab says the staff increase means that gemstone reports will now be ready within five to eight working days.
The AGTA GTC provides the industry and the public with a range of services, including gemstone identification, origin determination and pearl identification. The New York City laboratory is equipped with technologically advanced, investigative equipment.
A complete list of services and detailed pricing information is available on the AGTA Web site, www.agta.org.
