The American Gem Society Laboratories unveiled a new diamond grading document at The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas Friday: the Diamond QualityTM Analysis.
The DQA is similar to the Diamond Quality Document though in a more compact 8.5’-inch by 4.75-inch format, AGS said. The DQA contains an analysis of the diamond’s Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight, and while a laser inscription is included in the document, it will not have a plot. The DQA will be used for diamonds weighing .18 carats to .99 carats.
“We’ve been getting increased demand for the DQA, and we wanted to give our clients additional tools to sell their diamonds,” says Peter Yantzer, executive director of AGS Laboratories. “The DQA adds even more diversity to our product line, and is perfect for clients who need a document with a complete cut grade for their smaller diamonds.”
