AGS Labs expands Web site to attract consumers

The American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL) relaunched its Web site at with a new look and a focus on both the consumer and the trade.

The site has the ability to download Lab packets, two Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) sections (one for consumers and the other for the trade), a client survey, and learning tools to learn more about the Lab’s Diamond Documents.

“With this site, we really wanted to reach out not only to our clients and the industry, but to the consumer. It is in all our best interests that consumers are educated on diamond buying because it empowers them to make an informed decision,” said Steven Biegler, chief operating officer of AGS Laboratories.

This relaunching concludes “Phase 1” for the Web site. Phase II will have an enhanced “Preferred Client” section where clients can log in and obtain the grading results of their diamonds as well as track the shipment of their goods.
