Store Employee Disarms Robber with the Help of Watch Dog

Moreno Valley, Calif. On April 13, Richard Salgado, employee of Empire Jewelry & Loan, disarmed a robber with the help of the store’s watch dog. The suspect, Hakim Salone, entered the store and demanded money from the back room. Salgado was able to retrieve the suspect’s gun after a fight with him, which involved the owner’s Rottweiler. Police arrested Salone at the scene.

Suspect Steals Rings from California Store

Covina, Calif. On April 6, a suspect stole approximately $8,000 worth of jewelry from Old Covina Antique Emporium. The man told store employees he was waiting for his wife after browsing the shop for more than half an hour. He then stole displays of gold and diamond rings.

Police Catch Suspects in Chinatown Jewelry Heist

New York City. On April 5, three men, one armed with a pistol, entered Raineri Jewelers and stole merchandise from display cases. The suspects fled in a gray Jaguar but soon abandoned the getaway car. Police allegedly found two men hiding in an alleyway, and the third waiting near basement steps. The police were able to retrieve the stolen goods and weapon from the car.

Suspect Steals $5,000 in Jewelry From Retail Store

White Lake, Mich. Police are searching for a man who stole more than $5,000 worth of jewelry from the retail store Meijer on April 6. Surveillance footage shows the man removing jewelry from a display rack and hiding the pieces inside his clothes. He left the store without paying for the items.

Police Search for Suspect in Tennessee Hold-Up

Chattanooga, Tenn. Police are searching for a suspect who stole thousands of dollars in jewelry from Markman’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry on April 3. The man, armed with a gun, allegedly pointed his weapon at a female employee and demanded cash. He then forced the employees to the storage room and sprayed them with mace. The suspect fled the scene with stolen goods.
