46.51 Carat Diamond Fetches $4.2 Million at Christies

An oval-cut E-color 46.51 ct. diamond sold for $4.2 million to an anonymous bidder at the Important Jewels sale at Christie’s New York on June 14.

The entire auction raked in $11,727,625 and was 94 percent sold by lot and 98 percent by value.
 
A pear-shaped D IF 10.01 ct. diamond fetched $1.3 million. 

A pair of modified square-cut fancy yellow VS1 and VS2 diamonds—17.77 and 17.80 cts. each—sold for $722,500.
