19.02 Carat Emerald Necklace With 288 Diamonds Set for Auction



On Jan. 1, California’s Government Auction will offer more than $2 million in merchandise at its annual online New Year’s sale.

The auction will feature an 18k yellow and white gold necklace with 35 emeralds with a total weight of 19.02 cts., as well as 288 diamonds weighing 7.2 cts. The Gemological Laboratory of America has valued the necklace at $86,419. It is estimated that the piece will sell for $43,000–$86,000.

The auction will also include an 18k yellow gold necklace with 36.15 cts. of Ceylon cabochon sapphires and 3.5 cts. of diamonds, which is estimated to fetch $32,000–$64,000; and a 7.90-carat cabochon ruby pendant-style 14k gold necklace with diamonds, estimated to sell for $18,000–$36,000.

A 5,660 ct. faceted emerald gemstone will also be up for auction. It is estimated to fetch $190,000–$380,000.
