The former JBT head succeeds John Green

Dione Kenyon, the recently retired president and CEO of Jewelers Board of Trade, was elected chair of the GIA Board of Governors at its November 2016 board meeting, held at its Carlsbad, Calif., headquarters.

She succeeds John Green, the president and CEO of Lux Bond & Green Jewelers, who remains on the board.

Dr. Barbara Dutrow, professor of geology at Louisiana State University, and Stephen Kahler, senior vice president of global sales operations for Swarovski Gemstones, both joined the board, replacing Aron Suna, president of Suna Brothers Inc., and Hank Siegel, president and CEO of Hamilton Jewelers.
