M&S Turquoise Founder Dies

James Mark Sevy, who founded Saint George, Utah-based jewelry company M&S Turquoise, died Dec. 24 of natural causes at age 83.

Sevy’s career in the jewelry industry included time at Anderson Jewelry, Arthur Stewart Sterling Silver Company, and Zale. He eventually founded M&S Turquoise, with brother-in-law Wes Milne, which blossomed into a successful family business.

He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Milne Sevy; daughter Linda; sons James, Kent, and Bret; one sister, Nina; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
