Jewelry retail chain Ultra Stores filed for Chapter 11 Thursday, in a “pre-packaged” bankruptcy with its vendors and banks that it hopes to emerge from soon. 
The Palmieri Group, led by Donald A. Palmieri, said it has concluded the acquisition of Gem Certification & Assurance Lab, Inc. and other assets. 
Vacheron Constantin, has named Hugues de Pins as president of Vacheron Constantin North America. He replaces Julien Tornare who has been promoted to the position of Worldwide Sales director of Vacheron Constantin Intl. at the company’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
