Robbins Brothers, a 16-store California-based chain with locations in San Diego, Houston, Dallas, and Chicago, has filed a Chapter 11 petition in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. 
LUXURY & PREMIERE, the 10-year old invitation-only event for the finest jewelry retailers and manufacturers, will be held for three days rather than the previously announced four days, JCK Events said in a statement Wednesday. The new dates are May 27 - 29. 
Jewelers of America has named Robert Headley as its first chief operating officer, effective Feb. 23. The position has been established as part of the association’s three-year strategic plan, which was adopted by its board of directors in 2008.
