During the first 24 days of November this year, total online retail spending (non travel) reached $8.31 billion, marking a 23 percent increase versus the corresponding days in 2005, according to data released by comScore Networks Sunday. To read more click here.
2. SURVEY: MORE MONEY SPENT AT RETAIL STORES ON BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND
More than 140 million shoppers hit the stores on Black Friday weekend, spending an average of $360.15, up 18.9 percent from last year’s $302.81, according to the latest National Retail federation survey, released Sunday. To read more click here.
3. AN ALERT ISSUED TO TRAVELING SALESPERSONS IN DENVER
The Jewelers' Security Alliance reports that the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force, composed of FBI and local police personnel, has issued an “Alert” for the Denver, Colo., area for traveling jewelry salespersons. To read more click here.

5. JCK SHOW - LAS VEGAS TO BE HELD AT TWO LOCATIONS
The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2007 will be held in two locations: The Sands Expo and Convention Center/The Venetian Hotel Resort & Casino and, for the first time, the Las Vegas Convention Center. Highlights will include a new luxury gift collection, a new Time Pieces Pavilion that will focus on accessories, and international jewelry manufacturers that will all be featured at the LVCC.
