Torrance D. Hoover, a fourth-generation Hoover, will take over as Hoover & Strong’s president. He joined the company in 1981, became vice president of sales and marketing in 1987, and was promoted to president of Hoover Findings in 1997.

George F. Hoover, president of the company since 1970, is now CEO and chairman of the board. Daniel F. Pharr has been named executive vice president and CFO, and Britt Ragle has been named vice president of operations.
