CJA Elects New Officers

Peter Hess of Snyder & Snyder Jewelers, San Juan Capistrano, Calif., has been elected president of the California Jewelers Association for 2002. Other officers elected include Keith Norris, K. Norris Jewelers, Riverside, president-elect; James Hartstein, Jewels By Joseph, Newport Beach, first vice president; Mike Maralian, Dejaun Jewelers, Los Angeles, second vice president; and Allen Kessler, Kessler Jewelers, Burbank, treasurer. Hess is a graduate and former faculty member of the Gemological Institute of America. He purchased Snyder & Snyder Jewelers in 1987 and is active in numerous jewelry industry organizations including The Jewelers 24-Karat Club of Southern California, JVC, and JSA.
