Together with the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association (SJTA), the Savannah College of Art and Design will host the second annual Student Design Competition during the Atlanta Jewelry Show, Feb. 26-28.

Themed “Trip to the Movies,” this year’s competition challenged students and alumni from Savannah College of Art and Design’s metals and jewelry program to design a commercial piece of jewelry inspired by the style, content, and aesthetics from a particular movie of their choosing. The competition will culminate with an awards presentation, led by special guest judge and famed jewelry designer Henry Dunay, on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. Dunay also will lead an exclusive seminar for the students, which will allow them a glimpse into the career of a consummate jewelry designer.
