You know it's a tough town when millions of dollars in diamond jewels isn't enough on its own to woo celebrities and stylists.
Enter Diamond Aquifer, a Diamond Information Center–hosted diamond extravaganza this week at the Soho House LA, a glass-walled mansion perched in the hills above Los Angeles. Along with displays of diamond jewelry fit for a queen (or America's version of royalty: movie stars), Diamond Aquifer offers spa treatments that integrate diamonds (like diamond-dust manicures and pedicures) and, to our delight, diamond psychic and astrological readings.
Just before Teri Hatcher was to arrive for hers, we partook in an astrology reading with Michele Karèn, who placed what looked to be a 7 or 8 ct. diamond in our Sun sector to boost self esteem and happiness. Diamonds, she says, have their own power to help focus energy, so she'll use them at the Aquifer throughout the week in her readings with various celebrities.
She also says that, while writing is well and good, our chart indicates that, really, we oughta be in pictures. So, if you don't hear back from us here, we'll be seeing you on the silver screen.
