JCKstyle - March 2, 2006

Like celebrities who walk the red carpet even if they're a long shot for an Oscar, many jewelry companies find being in L.A. this week a wise investment for the publicity value alone, regardless of whether they land a nominee placement for Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremonies.
H. Stern's Andrea Hansen shared with JCKstyle a laundry list of reporters from various countries who have interviewed her this week. She's already been filmed by eight news crews from the United States, Germany, Japan, and Israel.
Kwiat's Bill Gould, meanwhile, offered an equally impressive list, including Entertainment Tonight, Extra, and Access Hollywood. Across town, Hearts On Fire's appearance at the Luxury Lounge today is just the appetizer for a planned red carpet interview this weekend.
At Harry Winston yesterday, the annual Oscars press conference epitomized the media frenzy here, with crews lining up at its Rodeo Drive boutique at 9:30 a.m.
The fact that none of these companies—or any others—will divulge anticipated placements hasn’t deterred news crews from chasing around L.A. this week after anything celebrity related, no matter how many degrees of separation.
As Hansen explains: This week is more about press than about dressing.
