Royalty to Reality

Fans of the addictive ABC show The Bachelor know Erica Rose, the outspoken, Paris Hiltonesque Houston socialite who competed for the affections of Prince Lorenzo Borghese in the show's latest season.

For nonfans (or, as we think of them, fans-in-waiting), a recap: Rose's on-camera approach was blunt, surprising, and snobbish, and she was dismissed by the Prince early on. However, she was such a controversial, interesting figure that producers invited her back toward the end of the season to comment on the merits of Borghese's remaining prospects.

Now the Rose ceremony continues as the onetime reality star does what any self-respecting 15-minutes-of-famer would and tries to parlay her experience into a career of acting and designing: a line of precious tiaras called T-Erica is set to debut in late January.

The collection features custom-made pieces with precious materials, including diamonds, sapphires, and platinum, and will soon be available for online purchase. Price points range from $300 to $5,000.

Daughter of a wealthy plastic surgeon, Rose often referred to herself as royalty while on The Bachelor: Rome (citing this fact as reason she and Borghese were well matched), but she might not be as spoiled as she appeared on the show. Her publicist tells JCKstyle that a portion of proceeds will go to her family's charity, The Rose Ribbon Foundation, which offers reconstructive surgery to individuals who do not have insurance.

David Yurman is ringing in the New Year with another achievement: a 1,000-square-foot store on Rodeo Drive that is slated to open today. Reports are that the chic new space will become the blueprint for design across all current and future Yurman stores.
