Wisconsin Jeweler Sought for Allegedly Defrauding Customers

Police in Ashwaubenon, Wis., are searching for a jewelry
store owner who allegedly defrauded customers.

According to a press release from the Ashwaubenon Department
of Public Safety, Tyler Kosmoski, 41, is being sought for questioning after
police received complaints about his business, the Diamond Factory in
Ashwaubenon, Wis.

Ashwaubenon Police have reports from customers who claim
their jewelry was not returned after they took it to the Diamond Factory
for repairs. Some complaints state customers who sold items to Kosmoski were
paid with bad checks. In addition, some are reporting they put money down on
jewelry to be purchased and have not yet received their product.

Lt. Jody Crocker of the Ashwaubenon Department of Public
Safety tells JCK police are still not
sure how many customers were victimized. “We’re still compiling reports and
there’s a line of people in our lobby as we speak,” he says.

In addition to defrauding customers, Kosmoski is also wanted for questioning for identify theft
for allegedly using an employee’s name to obtain a credit card, the release said.

The Diamond Factory closed on July 7 after an investor who
supplied the merchandise for retail sale came in and cleaned out the store.
