Winners of the12th Annual JA Affiliate design competition

Jewelers of America has announced the winners of its 12th annual affiliate design competition.

JA members or employees of JA member stores created jewelry in the competition. Entries were displayed and judged at the JA New York Show, held Feb. 3-5 at the Jacob J. Javits Center in New York City. A total of 29 entries that won design competitions hosted by JA’s state and regional affiliates in 2001 competed.

Entries were divided into three competition categories based on the cost of materials used. A panel of industry experts served as judges for the categories I, II, and III. Each piece was evaluated based on craftsmanship, marketability, practicality, and overall design. The Buyers Choice award was determined by ballots who attended the show.
