The World Federation of Diamond Bourses and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association will join forces again for the 2012 World Diamond Congress in Mumbai.
In 2011, the two groups held their Presidents’ Meetings in separate venues—Botswana and Dubai.
The Congress will take place from Oct. 14–17, 2012 in Mumbai.
WFDB President Avi Paz said in a statement he is happy the Congress will be able to see the new Bharat diamond bourse.
At the last meeting, “the bourse complex was still under construction,” Paz said. “Next year, we’ll be able to visit this new, eight-tower complex that houses more than 2,500 diamond firms and gauge the enormous strength of one of the world’s leading diamond trading centers.”
