Watchmaker Victorinox Swiss Army Opening Five New U.S. Stores

Victorinox Swiss Army, manufacturer of the Swiss Army
timepiece brand, is opening five new stores in the United States, it announced July 21.

The first store opened on July 1 in The Westchester mall in White
Plains, N.Y. Other store openings, slated for later this year, will include
Copley Place in Boston; The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, N.J.;
and Beverly Center in Los Angeles.

In addition, the company’s store in the SoHo district of New
York City, formerly located on Prince Street, is moving to a 3,100-square-foot-space at 114 Wooster Street.

“The retail expansion
will continue into 2012 and beyond with plans to open additional stores in the
U.S. and Canada in key markets,” said Joachim Beer, the company’s president of global
fashion and retail, in a statement.
