Trend File: The Sunny Allure of Hammered Gold

Few things in jewelry feel as bohemian—and in turn, primed for summer—as artfully hammered gold.

The look, which has in the past been synonymous with a sort of fashion-neutral, Eileen Fisher–ish aesthetic, is being embraced by younger jewelry lovers— and suddenly feels very “now.”

Pieces glimmering with the age-old metal treatment have been spotted on style-setting celebs including Tracee Ellis Ross, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lawrence.

It’s an easy, sunny look that begs to go big—on disk earrings, jumbo cuffs, and rings that all but envelope the fingers.
