Tiffany to Open Store in Prague

Tiffany & Co. will open a store in Prague in the summer of 2012—the luxury retailer’s first location in Eastern Europe.

“The opening of our first store in Eastern Europe marks a significant strategic move for Tiffany, as we further develop and grow our business throughout Europe,” said Melvyn Kirtley, group vice president Europe, in a statement. “We look forward to establishing a store in this historically rich city and offering our customers the wide range of classic Tiffany jewelry, along with the superior service for which the company is known.”

The approximately 2,600 square feet of retail space is designed with elements of Tiffany’s famous flagship store in New York City, including custom furnishings and showcases that incorporate the company’s wheatleaf, floral, and dragonfly patterns, as well the distinctive Tiffany blue.
