Little Switzerland, Inc., St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the Caribbean-based specialty retailer, and Tiffany & Co. are building a Tiffany boutique in the company’s store in Barbados.

The plans for the final store layout are currently being fine tuned, with an anticipated opening in the third quarter of this fiscal year, Little Switzerland officials said. This will be the company’s first Tiffany boutique and will allow Little Switzerland to sell Tiffany products together with its other prestigious brands of merchandise.

“The Barbados market is an excellent choice for the first step in this relationship, as the selling space was currently available, said Robert L. Baumgardner, president and CEO, commented, in a statement. “We will continue to look for other opportunities to strengthen this relationship further in other markets.”

Little Switzerland, Inc. sells brand name watches, jewelry, crystal, china, and accessories, out of 19 stores on five Caribbean islands, Alaska and Florida to tourists.
