The Wearable Tech Designed to Fight Technology Distractions

London-based Kovert Designs has designed a line of wearable technology meant to fight distractions from…technology.

The approach is not dissimilar from previous products on the market, including the Ringly, which JCK covered in June. But the Kovert line, called Altruis, bills itself as fully customizable, ensuring users get notifications only for the calls, texts, and emails they really care about.

The line was inspired by a digital-free retreat that CEO Kate Unsworth took.

“We strive to make technology less obtrusive and more invisible, challenging you to reset the balance between digital and physical and remember how to live in the moment,” reads the company’s website.

The first collection, called Cleopatra, includes a bracelet, necklace, and ring, in gold, rose gold, or platinum. Prices range from $480 to $590,and pieces are available for preorder. The accompanying app launches in January.
