The Most Popular Jewelry Searches Online—in Chart Form

Pandora, Tiffany & Co., and Swarovski top the list of most-searched women’s brands

Men’s jewelry brand Karus Chains, which boasts a succesful e-commerce channel, has a vested interest in knowing what consumers are searching for when it comes to jewelry online.

And the precious metal chain retailer certainly did its research when it put together the infographic below, which details the most popular current item-based jewelry searches using a pair of web-standard tools.

The graphic, which lives on Karus’ website, “displays the most popular standard and designer jewelry accessories, as well as the top jewelry brands for men and women based on Google searches,” says Caemin O. Connor, cofounder of the New York City–based brand. “In total 22,162 keywords and over 25 million individual searches were included in our research.”

The brand’s research was compiled using a combination of Long Tail Pro software and Google’s Keyword Planner tool. “The number of searches calculated by the Keyword Planner is a compilation of average monthly searches, and the statistics are rounded up,” reads copy on the company’s website. “Given the large sample size and the source (i.e., Google), we can say with confidence that the data is accurate and conclusive.”

The data excludes watches; if it hadn’t, timepieces “would dominate the results.” Karus previously wrote about popular watch services—in articles you can see here and here.

Perhaps just as instructional as the infographic and articles is Karus’ commitment to creating smart, relevant content for its site. Yes, the studies inform their consumers and add to their reputation as a modern, in-the-know brand. But they also work toward establishing the company as a thought leader in the jewelry industry. A win-win!
